Coaches vs. Cancer Dinner Benefit

On September 27, 2010 supporters in the fight against cancer gathered for a fun and intimate evening with some of the biggest names in College Basketball to benefit the American Cancer Society. Coach Jim Boeheim of Syracuse University, Coach Mitch Buonaguro of Siena College, Coach Steve Lavin of St. John’s University, Coach Barry Rohrssen of Manhattan College and Coach Kevin Willard of Seton Hall University shared the stage with Chairman Greg D’Alba, Executive Vice President & COO at CNN, at the historic New York Athletic Club. The highlight of the evening was a Coaches Q&A moderated by ESPN Radio’s Freddie Coleman. Thanks to the support of everyone involved, the event raised $120,000 to support the American Cancer Society’s vision of a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
